Nursing rounds should not be equated with a doctor's rounds. They focus on the nursing care administered to the patient. You and your family members should receive the best possible care at our clinic. Nursing rounds are a way for us all to check that this standard is being met. Our aim is to engage with you, your family members and the nursing staff and to discuss and observe how satisfied you are and where there might be room for improvement. With your assistance, we review whether our nursing procedures are satisfying your needs and wishes. Doing so helps us to assure and improve the quality of our care.

The following aspects are important to us:

  • Brief introduction of the patient by the competent nurse and then review of the nursing records
  • Consideration of the patient's surroundings
  • Discussion with you and possibly your family members (about your wishes, expectations and satisfaction)
  • Assessment of your physical and home situation.

We would like to coordinate an appointment for nursing rounds while you are on the ward. Please schedule around 30 minutes for the nursing rounds. The rounds will then be assessed and discussed by the nursing team. We will inform you of the results and the actions we have taken. Do not hesitate to contact us on the ward if you have any questions.
