Botulinum toxin treatment in cases of cervical dystonia (previously: torticollis), blepharospasm (facial cramp), hemifacial spasm, spastic syndrome, graphospasm, chronic migraine and other conditions after referral by a neurologist
All patients with this diagnosis receive complete neurological treatment as outpatients. A full range of evidence-based, modern treatment procedures is available. Besides the common treatment of attacks, available medication is used for immuno-modulating secondary prophylactics and for escalation therapy. Moreover, extensive symptomatic treatment is performed, and specialists from other fields are also brought in where necessary, e.g. urology, cardiology, ophthalmology and radiology. Patients require a quarterly referral from a panel doctor, e.g. the GP, in order to attend the surgery hours. Your attending urologist can also refer you to the surgery hours to obtain a second opinion for specific issues in the event of complicated disease progression.
This facility treats outpatients with a confirmed diagnosis from the range of neuromuscular diseases, e.g. myasthenia gravis, myopathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and autoimmune diseases such as GBS (Guillain-Barré syndrome) and CIPD.
Patients require a quarterly referral from a panel doctor, e.g. the GP.
