The Clinic as an employer

With its around 650 beds, Städtisches Klinikum Görlitz is the specialist hospital for the city of Görlitz and the region of Lower Silesia–Upper Lusiata. One of the largest employers in the region, we are aware of our responsibility toward just under 1,450 employees. We show warmth and commitment to the approx. 65,000 outpatients and inpatients treated at our institution each year. As the Academic Teaching Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus at TU Dresden, the education and training of highly qualified junior specialists are integral parts of our work.

In our 17 specialist clinics, four subsidiary limited partnerships, 13 medical centres, doctors from various nations work in an interdisciplinary capacity with numerous cooperation partners. Altogether we cater to virtually the entire range of medical treatments. The large number of departments and the wide variety of medical treatments allow our staff to experience the complexity of modern treatment pathways.
